Generational Healing

Sharing is caring!

I’m just back from the International Board of Hypnotherapy‘s annual symposium where I learned a valuable new technique for stopping cycles of experience that generationally run through families. The woman we observed in the demonstration is pre-diabetic. Diabetes runs through her family as far back as she can trace.

The teacher demonstrated a new technique for taking someone into hypnosis, and then used a combination of hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help her emotionally heal the cycles of repetition of illness in her family.

The entire process was done standing with a walk along the individual’s personal timeline. At times during the demonstration, the woman experience such relief from the burden of her diagnosis that tears poured down her cheeks. I spoke with her afterwards and she talked about how wonderful she felt.

I can see how this technique can be used with so many difference circumstances to assist people with moving beyond inhibiting  long held family beliefs and experiences: “Everyone in my family is fat” (for weight release), “people in my family just aren’t lucky,” “I’m just like my mother, we have bad memories,” “nobody in my family lives beyond age 60,” etc. Personally, I’m using it to change some of my own personal issues. What do you need to change in order to experience the life of your dreams.
