Today a friend sent a link to a very interesting YouTube video on the use of medical support hypnotism. It is a story covered on ABC Television News recently regarding the benefits of hypnosis. The woman in the interview was using hypnosis for pain connected with breast surgery. (See my post from May 30, 2008 under Medical Support Hypnosis).
I hope you find it interesting and get excited about all the possible ways that hypnotism works to accelerate healing and control pain.

Over the years, I have worked with a great number of clients who are actively in cancer treatment. People come to my offfice seeking hypnosis tools and techniques to relieve the stress of their illness, remove the grief associated with the diagnosis, to prepare for surgery and accelerate their recovery, to manage the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and end lifestyle habits that inhibit their recovery.
I find that both children and adults respond easily to the techniques and take away with them skills that with help them throughout their illness.
